The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks highly technical resources to serve as Data Integration, API, and ETL developers responsible for creating real-time, on-demand, batch, and scheduled data interfaces and processing between internal and external systems and applications.

This Integration/Interface Engineer position must be well-organized and able to manage multiple technical, business, and testing efforts. Duties include requirements gathering, solution design and implementation, and supporting go‑live and post‑implementation activities 

Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and/or MuleSoft or Boomi
  • Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming.
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns, REST/SOAP web services, JMS, MQ, XML, JSON, and API development.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid understanding of system integration, enterprise architecture principles, technical sizing, scalability, and high availability.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control tools such as Git.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

In addition to IIB/ACE experience, preference will be given to candidates with experience designing and developing integration solutions using MuleSoft. Experience with integrator/deployment tools such as TeamCity and various DevOps tools including SonarQube, deployment tools such as Ant/Maven, SCM tools like Bitbucket, and testing automation tools such as TOSCA and Selenium is also desired.

  • Experience in data modeling, OLAP design, and implementation of APIs and ETL processes, procedures, and execution for data cleansing, and refreshes. Required 7 Years
  • Experience with integration via web-services, API and ETL management. Required 5 Years
  • Hands on design, development and implementation experience with IBM IIB/ACE or MuleSoft or Boomi Required 5 Years
  • Strong technical experience in cloud and micro-services architecture. Required 5 Years
  • Hands-on experience building integration patterns; processes; managing, deploying and supporting API's. Required 7 Years
  • Hands on experience in Databases, PL/SQL and Linux. Required 7 Years
  • Experience leveraging common frameworks such as message queuing, caching, complex mapping, branching, and parallel processing. Required 7 Years
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of data formats JSON, XML, Flat Files (CSV, Fixed-Width). Required 7 Years
  • Experience with troubleshooting & debugging. Required 7 Years
  • Experience with AWS cloud platform Highly desired 2 Years
  • Proficiency in programming languages e.g., Java or Python Desired 2 Years
