One of our direct clients is actively seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their team.

Job Title: Supply Chain Manager 
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months+ extension

Duties:

The duties of a Supply Chain Manager include, but are not limited to:

Supply Chain Strategy:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that are aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze and optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective procurement and favorable terms.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and performance.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure that the right amount of product is available when needed.
  • Implement inventory control processes to minimize waste, reduce excess stock, and avoid shortages.
  • Monitor and manage inventory turnover, lead times, and reorder points.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Coordinate and manage the logistics of product transportation and distribution.
  • Work with logistics providers to optimize shipping routes, costs, and delivery times.
  • Ensure that products are delivered to customers on time and in good condition.

Production Planning:

  • Collaborate with production teams to align supply chain activities with manufacturing schedules.
  • Develop and implement production plans that meet customer demand while minimizing costs.
  • Monitor production performance and adjust supply chain plans as needed.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement contingency plans to address disruptions in supply, logistics, or production.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the supply chain team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes and systems.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and supply chain best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software , Blue Yonder, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to communicate effectively and lead others through change and new strategic initiatives.
  • Able to build effective teams, coach and develop others.
  • An individual who seizes opportunities and takes initiative as appropriate.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
